The best purchase I have made in a long time. I have my books & games nearby, 24/7 no matter where I am located. I have my internet when I am near a source. It is like a portable library & PC that I can carry in my purse.

Agree that it’s expensive, but as far as I see it’s in some way the best ebook reading device on the market.

Surely there are better devices for reading novels (Kindle, etc.), but nothing beats the iPad when it comes to reading PDF files.

I love my Kindle but that is probably because it’s the first and only e-reader I have had so far. I have friends who have the nook and say it’s wonderful as well. The main thing is to have a reader that fits your style and budget I would say, and the most important thing is to just READ!

I can see that two screens might be some advantage, but my current Android tablet already does all that, so it’s not all that clear to me what makes this gadget so wonderful.

Sony has made a press release that they are about to unveil new e-readers into the market that will compete favorably with the low budget e-readers from other manufacturers like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo. These new e-readers are going to have wi-fi connectivity instead of 3G.

I think this is a good development because it will further give the consumers more options and also make them to have good value for their money.
